Happy hour in fitzgeralds sidebar ft. GREASY GRAVY w/ special guest TOM V. RAY!! FREE SHOW! Click , "rdquo" -> Book Now" to reserve a table. We always leave room for walk-ins so if you can't find a reservation, don't sweat it, c'mon over! Greasy Gravy is the acoustic styled trio of Matt Hendricks and Rick Sherry, and (this time!) TOM V. RAY. Matt leads the band (vocals, fingerpicking and slide guitar) and is a veteran of the Chicago solo acoustic scene. Rick (washboard, harmonica, clarinet, jug, and kick drum) has also been a Chicago fixture, playing old American music with Devil In A Woodpile, Sanctified Grumblers, The Hat Stretchers, Hillbilly Frolic, and as an accompanist of delta blues legend David Honeyboy Edwards for many years. Beau Sample plays upright bass and is a prolific bottom man who plays with a huge number of bands in Chicago and throughout the national indie music scene (too many to name!). It's a natural match due to the trio's shared love and output of the pre-war genre and Matt's storied originals.
