A heart that melts. In a glittering imperial court, an icy princess guards her freedom by rejecting suitors who fail to solve her impossible riddles. When a courageous prince dares challenge her, a high stakes game of wit and will begins, where every answer could be deadly. Featuring Nessun dorma, the most popular tenor aria of all time, Puccinis TURANDOT brings striking spectacle and soaring sound to the stage in a North Carolina Opera company premiere. Performed in Italian with English translations projected above the stage.
