Accessibility statement
Last updated: 15 October 2026
We want everyone to be able to find events on GoingOutly, whatever device or assistive technology they use. Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML with a logical heading structure and landmarks.
- Full keyboard navigation, including menus and filters.
- Clearly visible focus styles.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images.
- A responsive layout that works when zoomed and on small screens.
- Colour contrast that meets AA requirements for text and controls.
Known limitations
- Machine-translated descriptions may read awkwardly; the original text is available on the page.
- Ticket and booking sites we link to are run by third parties, and their accessibility is outside our control.
- Images supplied by organisers carry the alternative text from the source, which may be missing or not very descriptive.
European Accessibility Act
The European Accessibility Act sets accessibility requirements for certain products and services in the EU from June 2025. We use WCAG 2.2 AA as our reference standard and keep track of how these rules apply to a free information service like ours.
Feedback
If you run into a barrier or need information in another format, write to hello@goingoutly.com. Please include the page address and a short description of the problem. We aim to respond within 5 working days.
