À partir de son histoire familiale, Caroline Lam compose une traversée chorégraphique entre Rome, le Vietnam et la France.
Burning Threads fait dialoguer mémoire de l’exil, héritage du colonialisme catholique avec les figures des Saintes - Agnès de Rome et Agnès du Vietnam - et spiritualités vietnamiennes avec la déesse Mẹ Mẫu. La pièce interroge ce qui se transmet d’une génération à l’autre et les tensions qui accompagnent toute histoire migratoire : préserver son héritage tout en cherchant à s’intégrer. Portée par les femmes de sa lignée, elle célèbre leur force de transmission et de résilience.
