About this event
At Rockhal Box - Luxembourg in Esch-sur-Alzette on Saturday, 14 November 2026: the Calema concert.
CENTRE DE MUSIQUES AMPLIFIEES PRÉSENTE : CALEMABorn in São Tomé and Príncipe and raised between the musical tides of Portugal and France, Calema — the brotherly duo of António and Fradique Mendes Ferreira — have become a true voice of the Lusophone world. Their name, borrowed from the Atlantic’s rolling swells, evokes movement, migration, and emotion — all of which pulse through their music. Blending afrobeat, pop, and traditional influences, Calema craft songs that speak in Portuguese but resonate far beyond language. Universal in their storytelling, their music carries the warmth of Africa, the melancholy of Fado, and the energy of global pop — a combination that has struck a deep chord with audiences across continents. With over 82 million YouTube views for their hit Te Amo, the duo are among the most streamed and celebrated Portuguese-speaking artists today, regularly selling out arenas across Europe. Their 2024 album Voyage, marking 15 years of a rich musical journey, fuses Afro, Latin and pop sounds into a powerful, modern statement.
