Modern blues-rock in the spirit of the 1970s: Canyon Lights, performing in Finland for the first time, are one of the most exciting new acts in their genre.
At the heart of Canyon Lights are singer-guitarist Pat Faherty and drummer Tim Carman, who are known for their previous work with the successful blues band GA-20. The duo have been touring the world for years and have gained experience from thousands of shows, which is evident in the band’s tight playing and strong stage presence.

In 2023, Faherty and Carman began working on new music, inspired by 1970s’ rock bands such as Mountain, Thin Lizzy and James Gang. This led to the formation of a new band, in which the roots of the blues are combined with a freer, genre-bending style of expression.
The band’s debut album, Breathe Easy, features songs drawing on personal experiences that explore life on the road, longing and the constant state of being on the move. The music is at once raw, melodic and deeply atmospheric.
In their live line-up, Canyon Lights perform as a trio, featuring the versatile musician Heather Gillis. The band’s live performances are known for their intense energy, strong groove and timeless rock sound.
Canyon Lights’ Finnish debut performance offers the audience a unique opportunity to experience an up-and-coming international blues-rock band that blends the past and the present into a seamless whole.
