Un concert de piano raconté par DOm Paulin, qui remonte le fil de la musique allemande et autrichienne, des maîtres admirés par Bach jusqu’à Vienne.
Au temps de Bach, l’Allemagne n’existe pas encore. On y trouve des principautés, des duchés et des villes libres, avec partout des orgues, des clavecins et des musiciens. On compose à Lübeck, à Leipzig, à Nuremberg… et à Vienne.

Ce concert commence avant Bach, avec des maîtres un peu oubliés que Bach admirait tant qu’il traversa le pays à pied pour les entendre. Puis vient Bach lui-même, et enfin Vienne, avec Mozart et Beethoven. On y découvre aussi Marianna Martinez et Maria Theresia von Paradis, deux compositrices applaudies en leur temps puis oubliées.
Entre les morceaux, DOm Paulin raconte les histoires des œuvres et de leurs compositeurs. Aucune connaissance musicale n’est nécessaire pour en profiter. Le concert dure une heure.
C’est le premier volet d’une trilogie consacrée à l’Allemagne et à l’Autriche, au sein de « Terre de musiques », le cycle de l’association Et voilà ! qui fait voyager le public de pays en pays.
