Live at The Vanguard in Newtown: Deceits (Us)

♱ “Too romantic for the punks, too fierce for the goths. We play passionate post-punk.” ♱

Formed in late 2021, the band draws inspiration from legendary acts including The Cure, Human Tetris, Motorama, The Chameleons, For Against, New Order and Bauhaus, while forging a sound unmistakably their own. DECEITS consists of Kevin “Puppy” Moreno (vocals, bass guitar, keyboards), Skylar Francise (guitars) and Francisco Saenz (percussions).

Following a string of acclaimed singles, DECEITS released their debut album “If There’s No Heaven…” independently in November 2023. Featuring standout tracks such as “Drowning In An Empty Sea” and “Mi Amor, Mi Vampira”, the record propelled the band onto major stages across the United States, including a headline performance at Los Angeles’s iconic El Rey Theatre. The band has also shared stages with revered names including The Chameleons and Diva Destruction, while earning a coveted appearance at 2025’s Cruel World Festival.

With their immersive soundscapes, danceable melancholy and emotionally intense performances, DECEITS Australian shows promise to be essential events for fans of modern post-punk, darkwave and goth music.
