Durante una tradicional posada mexicana, Lupita recibe un misterioso Cascanueces que la llevará a vivir una aventura extraordinaria. Al caer la noche, el Ratón Díaz y su ejército amenazan el espíritu de la Navidad, desatando una fantástica batalla junto al Cascanueces, revolucionarios y Adelitas. Tras la victoria, Lupita emprende un viaje por el Reino de las Leyendas y Tradiciones Mexicanas, habitado por alebrijes, guerreros mexicas y personajes inspirados en el imaginario nacional. El Cascanueces: Una Navidad Mexicana reinventa el clásico navideño para celebrar la identidad, la fantasía y la riqueza cultural de México.
