Live at The Live Room in Saltaire: Gráinne Hunt
Thursday, 3 December 2026 at The Live Room, Saltaire
About this event
Mark Thursday, 3 December 2026 in your diary: the Gráinne Hunt concert, at The Live Room, Saltaire. The line-up includes Grainne Hunt.
Gráinne Hunt is one of Ireland’s most enthralling vocalists and songwriters – infusing raw emotion, commanding power and a voice that stops audiences in their tracks. A queer nu-folk artist, she possesses a rich, textured tone – like complex coffee – and a steadily growing international reputation as a standout figure in modern Irish folk.
Gráinne’s reputation as a compelling performer has landed her on stages alongside legendary artists including Glen Hansard and U2, and opening slots for Gladys Knight and Eagle-Eye Cherry.

Her original music is anchored in deeply personal experiences; Gráinne writes on themes of identity, pain, longing, resilience, and joy. This emotional honesty and storytelling depth have earned her comparisons to Tracy Chapman and Natalie Merchant.
Recent tours with Nashville-based drummer and vocalist Jules Stewart, have seen the pair creating a sound rich in harmonies, heartfelt stories and magnetic onstage chemistry. With extensive tours in the United States and Australia during the first quarter of 2026, Gráinne’s place as a rising force on the international folk scene is cemented.
‘An astounding voice that will melt your heart. No crowd can resist’ - Declan O’Rourke
‘A dream booking. The kind of sound that just wraps around you and makes you feel good inside’ - Bear Music Festival, California
