Welcome to the opening of the exhibition on Friday 2 October, 17.00-19.00, at Grafia’s Luonnos Gallery.

“Chop chop” means to hurry or rush, yet the exhibition is an exercise in the opposite. Inspired by French culinary traditions, Chop Chop plays with a basic geometric form and explores the relationship between the decorative and the practical. The exhibition brings the often invisible labour of preparation into focus.
In addition to the performance, the exhibition consists of spatial design and a Tropism print publication, featuring texts by Benjamin Mouly, Maya Byskov and Sara Karppinen on the relationship between form and matter, as well as kitchen practices and rituals.
