On stage at Sara kulturhus Stage 1 in Skellefteå: HippHipp Live! 2027

HippHipp Live! The show is in Swedish! Twenty-five years after HippHipp! exploded onto the Swedish comedy scene, it's now official that comedians Anders Jansson and Johan Wester are reuniting for a major tour across Sweden with the brand-new comedy show "HippHipp Live!". For the first time, the two friends will take their near-cult classic characters --- Tiffany Persson, Kajan, Morgan Pålsson, and Itzhak --- out on the road. The new show premieres in their hometown of Lund on September 24 and will then tour the country throughout 2026 and 2027. On April 16, 2027, Anders and Johan will visit Sara Kulturhus in Skellefteå! "HippHipp Live!" will offer plenty of familiar moments, but it's far from a pure nostalgia trip. Expect stand-up-style monologues and improvisation mixed with rapid-fire dialogue and direct interaction with the audience --- a format where the characters not only return, but are also tested in today's world. What happens when Tiffany, Kajan, and Itzhak have to deal with everything from dating apps and sleep apnea to grandchildren and activity trackers? "It's a special feeling to bring our characters back to life again --- but now on stage. We're curious to see what has happened to them over the years, and how they relate to the world today. For us, it's both a heartfelt reunion and a fun experiment. It's familiar and completely new at the same time --- and the audience gets to come along for the ride," says Johan Wester. "To be back on stage with Johan and our characters feels incredibly exciting --- like returning to a creative playground. We know the audience loves the nostalgia, but what's unique is that we can create something new together every night --- in the moment, right in front of the audience," says Anders Jansson. When the comedy show "HippHipp!" premiered on Swedish Television in the fall of 2001, it marked the beginning of a new era in Swedish humor. With characters such as Staffanstorp's pride Tiffany Persson, fire-safety instructor Kaj-Åke "Kajan" Hansson, musicologist Itzhak Skenström, TV host Mike Higgins, and world reporter Morgan Pålsson, Johan and Anders mixed sketches with everyday relatability, unexpected twists, and satire. The series became hugely popular and firmly established the duo as two of Sweden's funniest comedians. Despite its great success, HippHipp! has actually never gone on a nationwide tour --- until now. Next year, 25 years after their breakthrough, it's finally happening! In the fall of 2026, "HippHipp Live!" will premiere: a dazzling show that brings the humor and craziness that audiences have come to love --- for the first time --- to the biggest stages across the country. "It feels like we're finally opening a present we gave ourselves 25 years ago. We remember what's in the package, but we don't quite know how it will collide with the world we live in today. This is going to be incredibly exciting --- not least for us," says Anders. "For obvious reasons, many associate HippHipp! with filmed sketches, but what not everyone knows is that Anders and I are actually at our best live. We love being on stage, performing together, creating in the moment, and taking care of the audience. And we make each other better," says Johan.
