Et si un instrument pouvait raconter toute une vie ?
Pour célébrer le centenaire de la naissance de Mstislav Rostropovitch, l’Orchestre de chambre de Paris met le violoncelle à l’honneur. Figure légendaire de la musique du XXe siècle, Rostropovitch a marqué son époque comme interprète, mais aussi comme professeur, compositeur et chef d’orchestre.

Sur scène, la violoncelliste Astrig Siranossian, héritière de son enseignement, interprète deux œuvres intimement liées à Rostropovitch : la Symphonie pour violoncelle et orchestre de Britten et le redoutable Premier Concerto pour violoncelle de Chostakovitch, qu’il avait créé et dont il fut le dédicataire. Entre les deux, la Symphonie « Classique » de Prokofiev rappelle aussi son lien avec le compositeur, auprès duquel Rostropovitch avait étudié la composition.
🎻 Un concert vibrant autour d’un musicien qui a repoussé les limites de son instrument.
