Kodo's internationally acclaimed "One Earth" journey has moved millions worldwide, revealing the unifying, visceral power of taiko drumming. Now, Kodo returns to San Diego with LUMINANCE - a breathtaking program that combines its most iconic works with bold new creations for an unforgettable live experience. Feel the earth-shaking force of the legendary O-daiko solo, the exhilarating drive of Yatai-bayashi, and a powerful tribute to Minnie M. Ishii's Monochrome, performed with astonishing precision, athleticism, and intensity. From thunderous rhythm to moments of stillness and focus, Luminance is more than a performance - it is a full-body experience of sound, spirit, and spectacle.
