Helsinki will offer free swimming to all children and young people under the age of 18 on World Children’s Day.
City of Helsinki swimming halls (Itäkeskus, Pirkkola, Jakomäki and the ground floor of Yrjönkatu Swimming Hall) will be offering free swimming on World Children’s Day, 20 November 2026, from 14.00 onwards, for all children and young people under the age of 18, as well as one guardian accompanying each child.
PLEASE NOTE! Children under the age of 10 and children who cannot swim may only swim when accompanied by a person who is at least 15 years old and can swim.

PLEASE NOTE! Yrjönkatu Swimming Hall does not have a children’s pool, so visitors must be able to swim at least 25 metres. Fridays are women-only days at Yrjönkatu Swimming Hall.
