L’histoire vraie d’une muse emprisonnée à jamais dans un tableau…Non, ce n’est pas une légende, c’est arrivé. Nous sommes à Londres en 1850, Lizzie Siddal, célèbre pour l’éclat de sa chevelure cuivrée, pose pour ce qui est aujourd’hui encore le tableau le plus célèbre d’Angleterre : Ophelia, inspiré de Shakespeare. Mais en prêtant ses traits à cette héroïne tragique, Lizzie scelle sa propre malédiction. Peu à peu sa vie rejoindra étrangement celle du personnage d'Ophélie.À travers son amour fou et destructeur avec le peintre Rossetti, cette pièce, mêlant Théâtre, Peinture, Cinéma et Poésie, retrace son destin troublant et nous plonge dans l’un des plus envoûtants mystères de l’histoire de l’art.
