Depuis le début des années 1990, de nombreux musiciens et musiciennes de jazz originaires d’Israël ont dû passer par New York ou l’Europe pour construire leur carrière internationale.
Anat Cohen, Omer Avital, Oded Tzur et Gilad Hekselman sont toujours installés aux États-Unis. Yaron Herman et Yoni Zelnik ont choisi Paris. D’autres, comme Avishai Cohen, Yonathan Avishai ou Anat Fort, ont ressenti la nécessité de revenir en Israël.
