Julien Neel est auteur de bande dessinée et réalisateur. Il crée en 2004 la série Lou !, qui rencontre un large succès et s’impose comme une oeuvre majeure de la BD contemporaine. En 2018, il clôt le premier cycle de huit albums et initie une nouvelle étape avec Lou ! Sonata, un second cycle au format renouvelé, qui accompagne Lou dans ses premiers pas vers l’âge adulte. Dans le prolongement de cette nouvelle narration, Julien Neel explore des formes de récit hybrides, à la croisée des disciplines artistiques. Il imagine et réalise avec le groupe Krystal Zealot une bande originale narrative et électrique, pensée comme une extension musicale de son univers. Pour conclure le cycle Sonata, Julien Neel & Krystal Zealot présentent un concert dessiné, point d’orgue de ce projet multimédia où musique, image et narration se rejoignent sur scène.
