Shirring is a sewing technique that creates stretchy, textured gather structure in fabric. It’s a versatile way to transform the size, shape, and style of a garment, as well as to cover up stubborn stains or discoloured areas.

We provide all the materials and tools you'll need for the workshop. You're also welcome to bring your own garment or textile to mend. No previous sewing or crafting experience needed, we've got you covered! Workshops enabled by make-a-thek project and funded by the European Union Horizon Europe program (contract number 101177660).
