La chanteuse franco-américaine s’associe à l’ensemblemusical Les Musiciens de Saint-Julien pourun répertoire ancien, avec force, vitalité et fraicheur. Depuis 2005, Les Musiciens de Saint-Julien évoluent sur lesrépertoires du baroque et des musiques anciennes, menés parleur fondateur, flûtiste et tête chercheuse François Lazarevitch. Sur ce projet, ils se joignent à Rosemary Standley (Moriarty,Birds on a Wire), chanteuse curieuse qui aime s’approprierdifférents genres musicaux. Songs from the North Countryexplore les riches entrelacs entre musique populaire etmusique ancienne à travers les ballades anglo-celtiques. Portée par la voix expressive de Rosemary, la musique s’appuiesur une instrumentation ancienne aux sonorités prochesdu folk. Cette palette sonore vivante et organique inspireune grande liberté d’interprétation dans une énergie biend’aujourd’hui.
