« Selon vous, que peut-on faire pour éviter la guerre ? » À l’heure où le monde vacille, la chorégraphe Maud Blandel s’inspire de l’œuvre Trois Guinées de Virginia Woolf pour contrer le sentiment d’impuissance qui, parfois, nous habite, à travers la création d’un trio détonnant.
En 1938, Virginia Woolf écrit Trois Guinées, roman épistolaire dans lequel elle démontre comment la guerre est, structurellement, une affaire masculine. Aujourd’hui, alors que les conflits internationaux font rage, Maud Blandel s’empare de ce texte comme point de départ et compose une hallucination collective à trois danseuses, puisant dans les imaginaires psychédéliques pour renverser les structures établies.

Dans la lignée de L’Œil nu, présenté au TPM en 2024, Maud Blandel poursuit sa recherche autour de la dramaturgie sonore, des relations son/mouvement et des corps intenses, tantôt saisis par le rythme, tantôt sidérés. Dans un flux percussif, ultra-énergétique et désorganisé, où toute tentative de marche au pas est délibérément sabotée, Same Old Songs offre une hétérotopie refusant tout projet guerrier et donne corps, par là même, à un autre futur.
