Shaking Hand est un trio originaire de Manchester qui compose des morceaux de post-rock longs et envoûtants, joués dans des accordages et des mesures variés, en s'inspirant de l'architecture moderniste, de la scène alternative américaine des années 90 et de l'emo du Midwest. L'ADN musical du groupe s'inscrit dans la lignée de groupes de guitare expérimentaux tels que Women, Slint, Sonic Youth, Pavement et Ulrika Spacek, tout en s'équilibrant avec la sensibilité mélodique de Big Thief et l'intimité dynamique de Yo La Tengo.
