Spirited Away — de muziek van Joe Hisaishi
Stap binnen in de betoverende wereld van Hayao Miyazaki en Studio Ghibli tijdens een intiem kamerconcert van Simple Music Ensemble World in Kompaszaal Amsterdam.
Centraal staat de muziek van Joe Hisaishi, een van de meest herkenbare componisten van de hedendaagse filmmuziek en vooral bekend om zijn langdurige samenwerking met Studio Ghibli.

Zijn soundtrack voor Spirited Away verbindt kwetsbaarheid en lichtheid, spanning en tederheid, mysterie en melancholie. In kamermuziekarrangementen krijgen de bekende thema’s een nieuwe, directere en intiemere klank. Piano en strijkers brengen de muziek heel dichtbij: van bijna gewichtloze melodieën tot krachtige emotionele hoogtepunten.
Met deze avond opent SME House Amsterdam by Kompaszaal — een nieuwe terugkerende concertserie van Simple Music Ensemble World in Amsterdam, met klassieke muziek, minimal music, filmmuziek en bijzondere crossoverprogramma’s in een intieme setting.
Een avond voor liefhebbers van Miyazaki, kamermuziek en filmmuziek — en voor iedereen die live muziek van dichtbij wil beleven.
Simple Music Ensemble World is een internationaal kamermuziekproject dat professionele musici, bijzondere locaties en zorgvuldig samengestelde programma’s samenbrengt.
