The organiser's description (in French)
Evelyn Askolovitch est née Sulzbach en 1938 aux Pays‑Bas, dans une famille juive allemande.
Evelyn et ses parents sont arrêtés sur dénonciation de leurs voisins en 1943. La famille est d’abord parquée dans un théâtre d’Amsterdam, « un petit peu comme Drancy : c’était un théâtre où tous les Juifs sont passés avant d’être transportés dans les camps ».
Elle est libérée du camp de Bergen‑Belsen par la Croix‑Rouge en janvier 1945, lors d’un échange de prisonniers.
En 2023, consciente d’appartenir à la toute dernière génération de témoins, elle co‑écrit avec son fils, Claude Askolovitch, Se souvenir ensemble (Éditions Grasset).
