Sunday, 13 December 2026 at Kendal Brewery Arts Centre, Cumbria
About this event
The Valtos concert takes place on Sunday, 13 December 2026 at Kendal Brewery Arts Centre, Cumbria.
Malt Room Standing
Valtos are Skye natives Daniel Docherty and Martyn MacDonald, and they have taken the Trad and Electronic music worlds by storm. Since their debut shows in December 2021, they have entertained audiences at festivals and sold-out venues nationwide.
Their music has been described by Folk Radio UK as “like nothing you’ve heard before,” blending influences from electronic and folk music. Inspired by artists like Martyn Bennett, Peatbog Faeries, Odesza, Madeon and Bicep, Valtos creates a unique and genre-defying sound.
In April 2026, Valtos released their third album, ‘The Last Light’ on Island Life Records.

Their reach now extends well beyond the trad scene, with just shy of 200k Instagram followers and sold-out shows across the UK. Valtos’ brand-new rendition of Auld Lang Syne soundtracked the midnight fireworks at Edinburgh’s Hogmanay, broadcast around the world, and they performed what Cairngorm Mountain billed as the UK’s highest DJ set, high up at the resort’s Ptarmigan Top Station.
Valtos draws inspiration from the breathtaking beauty of their home, adding a sense of place to their recordings and live performances. Joined onstage by a full live band, including Lana Pheutan, Eilidh Cormack, Finn MacPherson, and Euan McLaughlin, Valtos deliver an energetic and unforgettable live experience.
