GUENIEVRE. – Personne ne me poursuit, alors une dernière fois, je traverse le labyrinthe de palettes. Ça en fait, du bois. Ça en fait vraiment beaucoup. Je crache mon sang sur le sceau de l’entreprise. Il reste une boîte d’allumettes dans la poche de ma veste. Dessus y’a marqué « Burn bright, darling ».
Avalon Princesse est une pièce-récit, une réinterprétation émancipée du mythe arthurien, transposé de nos jours dans un petit village du sud de la France. Avalon y devient une boîte de nuit queer perdue dans les étangs, lieu d’exil de tout un peuple invisible où vit Morgane. Camelott devient une entreprise de palettes tenue par les jeunes du village, rassemblés autour d’Arthur. Aujourd’hui, Morgane, Arthur, Guenièvre et Lancelot se retrouvent pour défaire les nœuds du mythe clanique dans lesquels ils ont été pris, et interrogent ensemble les limites de l’amour que l’on peut se porter. Et si la légende avait été racontée du point de vue des absent·es – et notamment des femmes ?
