Dans un Québec parallèle où la région de Portneuf est devenu l’épicentre du tourisme spirituel, un groupe d’inconnus part en pèlerinage sur les traces du miracle de Saint-Timothée, à des fins de développement personnel.
À travers une mosaïque de scènes révélant les moments de stagnation de leur périple, le groupe se confronte aux détours, individuels et collectifs, prévus et imprévus, qui peu à peu s’imposent comme la seule voie.
Entre huis-clos anxiogène et comédie existentialiste, Détours est une réflexion sur la nécessité de l’espoir et sur l’utilité de la foi.
