Connaissez-vous la lanterne magique ? Considérée comme l’ancêtre du cinéma, cette machine fut la première à pouvoir projeter des images lumineuses, agrandies sur un écran. Une fois glissés dans la lanterne, des simples dessins peints sur plaque de verre devenaient le support d’histoires fabuleuses, voire même fantasmagoriques.
Sous forme de conte accompagné au piano, mêlant peintures sur verre du XIXème siècle sortant d’une authentique lanterne magique et premiers films muets, ce ciné-spectacle offre l’occasion de découvrir la féérie et la poésie des premiers temps du cinéma. La lanterne magique invite le cirque à jouer avec son faisceau lumineux.
