Bastien marche le long d’un fleuve, le soir de son anniversaire. Des fantômes l’accompagnent : les fantômes des 3 adolescents morts dans l’accident de voiture qu’il a causé il y a 10 ans, le soir de ses 17 ans. Il y a urgence, les morts comme Bastien commencent à oublier ce qu’il s’est véritablement passé ce soir-là. Or, quelqu’un attend depuis tout ce temps le récit de cet accident, et attend peut-être Bastien au bout de sa marche.
Margot : Pourquoi on te hante si longtemps après, alors que nous-même on oublie ?
Vicky : De quoi devons-nous nous souvenir ? Pourquoi on doit se souvenir pour pouvoir partir ?

Ianis : Pourquoi c’est si dur de se souvenir ?
Margot : Pourquoi ça nous fatigue autant de se souvenir ?
Bastien : Pourquoi j’étais triste terriblement triste ? Pourquoi je suis toujours triste ? Qu’est-ce que j’ai perdu ? Qu’est-ce que j’ai effacé, oublié ? Pourquoi je dois me souvenir ?
Vicky: Parce que nous, on oubliera.
Margot : Parce que les morts ça oublie. Ça ne fait que ça.
Vicky : C’est maintenant ou jamais. Bientôt on sera mort de chez mort.
