WEDNESDAY 13 & THE BIRTHDAY MASSACREWednesday 13 (né Joseph Poole le 12 août 1976 à Charlotte, en Caroline du Nord – mais ne l'appelez surtout pas comme ça !) s'est imposé comme l'une des voix les plus singulières du horror rock, méritant son surnom de « Duc de l'Épouvante » grâce à des décennies de création musicale mêlant thèmes horrifiques, punk rock et metal. Biographie de The Birthday Massacre : The Birthday Massacre est un sextet torontois qui a consacré 25 ans à développer un son unique dans la scène dark alternative : une musique à la fois synthétique et saturée de guitares, mélodique et dissonante, mêlant nostalgie et angoisse. Leur musique oscille entre un refrain pop accrocheur et une tension palpable, puisant son inspiration dans la synthwave et la new wave des années 80, la puissance de l'indus et de la dark wave, et une sensibilité visuelle influencée par le cinéma d'horreur/fantastique et les beaux-arts. Apart from his solo career, he was the frontman of the horror punk/glam metal band Murderdolls and has also played in several other bands, including Maniac Spider Trash, Frankenstein Drag Queens from Planet 13, Bourbon Crow, and Gunfire 76.
